By train to the terminus Linthal-Braunwaldbahn. Right next door, the funicular runs up to the village every half hour. Our hotel is just a few steps from the top station. We collect your luggage at the Linthal valley station free of charge and bring it to your room.

By car you drive to the valley station of the Braunwaldbahn in Linthal (Stachelbergstrasse 2, 8783 Linthal). Park there on the open-air car park or in the multi-storey car park, then take the funicular up. Open-air: 1st day CHF 5.00, each further day CHF 3.00. Multi-storey (covered): CHF 10.00 per day or CHF 50.00 per week. Six EV charging stations are available. If you'd like to reserve a parking space, you can do so directly with the funicular, online or by phone.

Yes, you're almost there: from the top of the pass the road runs down the Glarus side to Linthal, straight to the valley station of our funicular. Park the car, then take the funicular up to Braunwald. Last ride up daily at 23:55. If you need a room at short notice, the easiest way is to give us a quick call: +41 55 653 70 30.

Hand your cases in at the luggage counter at the Linthal valley station, we collect them for you and put them in your room. You ride up on the funicular with a light backpack. Luggage transfer from the valley station to the hotel is free.

From Zurich main station the S25 runs hourly direct to Linthal-Braunwaldbahn, with no changes. Alternatively, take the Regio-Express via Ziegelbrücke. Find current connections at sbb.ch.

The Braunwaldbahn runs daily from 05:25 to 23:55 every half hour. Bikes and prams are carried free of charge and the funicular is wheelchair accessible.

The funicular is barrier-free. In the village the main paths and our hotel entrance are wheelchair accessible. We have wheelchair-accessible rooms, please mention this when booking.

Yes. The funicular runs all year round, even in snow. In the village the main paths are cleared before 07:00 daily. You won't need snow chains or all-wheel drive, since you arrive without a car.
